From April 2012, Mazarin(Qingdao) Yacht Co., Ltd. started to manufacture 12 70-foot sports yachts for the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. With a length of 21.33 meters, width 5.66 meters, sea gauge three meters and tonnage 31.7 tons each, these yachts will be used as the racing yachts for the 2013-2-14 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. The yachts were designed by Tony Castro, a famous yacht designer from UK. Without the use of motors, the velocity of the yacht can hit knots. By adopting the advanced vacuum adsorption process, the yacht body is lighter by 20% than the yachts manufactured using the traditional process. Many parts of the yacht are made using composite carbon fiber technology. Both the safety class and manufacturing process of the yachts have hit the world advanced level.
