电话那头,蒋百德用中文对答如流,一切回应得那么自然。有那么一瞬间,笔者仿佛忘记了正在和一位意大利人通话,也对这位旅居青岛的外国人更加好奇。几乎和所有欧洲人一样,蒋百德有着健硕的身材、深邃的眼窝,但不同的是,他说着很"中国"的普通话,身上总有种很"青岛"的亲切感,即便是初次相见,也不会产生距离感。或许,正是他身上的"青岛"气质,让我们的沟通比想象的要容易。

Both the architectural style and city appearance attract me. Due to these, I don't feel I have any mental changes in Qingdao. It is a very amazing feeling to see the sea when you get up every day, and it is good for your work attitude all the day long,' said Giamberto Giraldo.Talking about Qingdao's special characteristics, Giamberto Giraldoa said: 'In my eyes, Qingdao is a city integrating diversified folk customs. In this city, the Chinese cultural atmosphere is well preserved. This is a city with rich human kindness. The feeling between people is sincere. The city atmosphere is good. In addition, as far as beauty is concerned, I feel that Qingdao people have their own special understanding. From the large urban buildings to people's outfits, Qingdao people are very fashionable.'Coming to Qingdao perhaps was within the scope of Giamberto Giraldo's working plan. However, coming to Qingdao was beyond his life planning. No matter what is concerned, he thinks he has a marvelous predestinated relationship with Qingdao. China's constant changes also make him feel his life richer. He said that in Italy he never felt what 'rapid development' meant. However, in China, he had experienced this kind of change. One year or several years later, perhaps great changes will take place at the area where he is living now. All in all, Giamberto Giraldo has become a member of the big family of Qingdao. He is living here comfortably.
