To implement environmental responsibility in ethnic autonomous areas, the local government needs to strengthen self - construction, promote vigorously the exercise of autonomy of environmental protection and rationalize the administrative system of environmental protection. The local government also needs to try to obtain support and help from state organs at higher levels and the wide participation of the people of various ethnic groups in its environmental management process. Besides, the supervision and accountability over the autonomous local government should be strengthened.
