Analysis of Wyeth's Painting from a Perspective of Buddhism

佛曰:"一花一世界,一木一浮生,一草一天堂,一叶一如来……"安德鲁·怀斯的绘画为我们展示了"禅意"的艺术境界,文章通过"平常心是道""挑水砍柴无非妙道""看山是山,看水是水。看山不是山,看水不是水。看山还是山,看水还是水"三个方面的分析,使我们更深层理解"禅意怀斯"。

Buddhism has the idea that a flower contains a world,a wood a life, a leaf a heaven and a leaf a Budda. The paintings of Wyeth Andrew shows a similar Buddhist artistic world which are analyzed in this article from three aspects： ordinary mind,personal understanding, and three different levels of achievements in his paintings respectively explained by the Buddhist remarks ＂the ordinary mind is the way＂, ＂fetching water and cutting firewood have more meanings than themselves＂ and ＂at the first sight, mountains are mountains and the water is the water; at second sight, mountains are not mountains, the water is not the water; at the third sight, mountains are still mountains, the water is still the water.＂
