摘要
学衡派的教育思想可作这样的概括 :从教育的目的在于培养健全的人格即德智体全面发展的国民 ,这一根本的教育理念出发 ,强调学校教育应突出学生的能力培养 ,并进而提出了尊重学生的个性发展 ,改革现有的学校课程结构 ,注重文理渗透 ,开拓学生的视野 ,优化知识结构等主张。这与我们今天教育界正在大力倡导的关于素质教育与创新能力培养的新概念 ,无疑是相通的。至于他们具体的教学实践及其关于中国教育结构的宏观改革主张 ,在今天看来 。
The Xue Heng Schools ideas on education can be summed up as follows:The aim of education is to make the nationals be with the excellent personalities fully developed in moral,intellectual and physical training.This is the basic doctrine.Under the guide of this doctrine,the school insists that the formal education should take the cultivation of students ability as first priority.It also suggests that the development of students personality should be respected,the curriculum pattern should be reformed,the exchange between different disciplines such as humanities,social and pysical sciences be carried out,students horizons be enlarged and intellectual structure be improved.These viewpoints are in conformity with those of the so called quality education and the ability training advocated by the educational circles in todays China.Besides,many of the suggestions presented by the school on training practice and the reform of Chinese educational structure are still,in a broader sense,significant.
