从母女形象看伍尔夫的女性价值观——读《达洛卫夫人》

女权主义作家伍尔夫在作品《达洛卫夫人》中表达了对女性的生存状态及生命意义的深切关注。达洛卫夫人和女儿伊丽莎白是小说中塑造的两个主要人物形象,母女俩虽然有着相同的生活背景和教育环境,但是俩人对生活的意向性却有很大的差异,一个甘愿承袭父权社会的价值观,做"家中天使";而另一个则决定要有一份职业,成为一个医师,一个农民或者当议员。母女二人各自的救赎路径,深刻地揭示了在女性的成长轨迹中,经济上的独立才是实现女性命运改变和体现价值的唯一出路。最终,母女俩不同的抉择程度导致了不一样的人生。

The feminist writer Woolf displays great concerns on the survival of women and the meaning of their lives. Mrs. Dalloway and her daughter, Elisabeth, are two main characters in Mrs. Dalloway. They have the same living environment and educational background, but their goals of life are different, one willing to be ＂an angel in the house＂, the other to be a doctor, a peasant or a parliamentarian. By analyzing and contrasting the self-salvation of the mother and daughter, the author tells us, in the process of the growth of women, economic in- dependence is the only way to change their fate and realize their values. Finally, they＇ll own different lives be- cause of different choices.
