The Temple of Nanhai God is a place where the officials and people pray to Nanhai God for safety and blessing .During the founding of Huangpu Military Academy , the forerunner of the democratic revolution , Sun Yat-sen and his wife visited and worshiped the Temple , which is a great event in the history of the Temple .With its complicated historical background , his visiting had a positive impact on the prosperity of Lingnan sea culture , the rise of sea power consciousness and the construction of the navy .
