This paper introduces the management mode about main - branch libraries in American and British university li- braries, analyzes the characters of the management mode about the main - branch library, and suggests that the university li- braries of our country should adhere to the service concept of ＂ Regarding the readers as the center＂, establish the global management system, build a reasonable service resources system and form a good mechanism of the services and the means.
