Simplified Biographical Chronicle of SHI Meng-Lan

史梦兰(1813-1899),字香崖,直隶乐亭县(今河北省乐亭县)人,道光庚子举人,后绝意仕进,潜心学术,是清代后期弥合汉、宋之学的代表人物。本简谱在考辨相关史料基础上,订讹正误,初步呈示史梦兰先生的生平、交游、著述及刻书情况。

SHI Meng-lan（1813-1899）, alias Xiang-ya and poetic name Yan-nong, was born in Laoting county, Hebei province. He became a first-degree scholar in Gengzi year of Daoguang＇s time, and never intended to join the officialdom after, but devoted to academic and eventually emerged as a representative scholar who closed Song dynasty learning and Hart dynasty learning in Late Qing dynasty. In the chronicle, SHI Meng-lan＇s life, friends, writings and publications are shown based on the study of relevant historical materials and the corrections of some mistakes.
