The Local Development of Ethnology——Based on Mr.Yang Jian-xin's Academic Life and Ideology of Ethnology Theory

杨建新先生是我国著名的历史学家、民族学家,是兰州大学民族学学科的奠基者和开拓者。本文通过回顾他的学术人生历程和学术成就,探讨了他将历史学与民族学相结合的独特的民族学思想和研究方法,阐明了他基于与西方人类学相比较而提出的一些观点和思想对建设有中国特色的民族学学科的重要意义。

Mr. Yang Jian-xin is a famous historian and ethnologist in our country and the founder and pioneer of ethnology in Lanzhou Univer-sity. This paper probes into his unique ethnological ideas and his research methods of combining history science with ethnology by looking back to his academic life and his academic achievements. This paper demonstrates his viewpoints and ideology of comparing the western ethnology, which has great significance to construct the ethnology discipline with Chinese characteristics.
