中国特色社会主义和平发展理论是中国的独创,它始于邓小平同志的论述,经江泽民和胡锦涛同志为核心的党中央进一步完善。它是在和平与发展成为时代主题的条件下,中国人民在建设中国特色社会主义的过程中形成的有关国内发展、世界和平及其相互关系的科学理论。其内涵涉及和平与发展关系、和平发展的动力与领导、和平发展的指导思想目标与底线、和平发展的道路与方式、中国和平发展的战略、中国与世界的关系以及中国的和平外交理论等七个方面,是中国特色社会主义理论体系的重要组成部分。

The peaceful development theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics is the original creation of China. It began from Deng Xiaoping, and promoted by the Party Central Committee leaders, such as Comrade Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao. The theory formed in the process of building socialism with Chinese characteristics is about the relationship between domestic development and world peace under the times of peace and development becoming the theme of this age. Its content relates to： the relation between peace and development; the power and leadership of peaceful development; the strategy and the bottom line of peaceful development; the road of peaceful development ; the relation between China and the world, and so on.
