金砖是这样炼成的 有着“千窑之乡”之称的浙江嘉善千窑古镇，窑工们在土窑中辛勤劳作，土窑中的工作有条不紊，是上千年流传下来的习惯。很多窑工都已经年逾花甲，当年的出窑小伙、姑娘如今已成了大爷、大妈。

According to the ancient books Golden Brick Paving and A Dictionary of Ancient Chinese Architecture: the "Golden Brick" herein mentioned is "one of the most exquisite floor tile, the dimensions of which are approximately 51-60cm; the brick should be planed and ground before paving and polished with melted wax to add brightness after paving".
