国外英语教师能力标准对我国英语教师发展的启示 被引量:22

Reflection on China's English teacher development through studying the standards for EFL teachers' ability in foreign countries

摘要 本研究概述、评价和比较了美国、澳大利亚、以色列、日本四个国家的英语作为二语教师的能力标准,探讨了我国英语教师发展在能力标准制定、评估等方面存在的不足,指出为实现英语教育改革目标亟须制定统一、可行的英语教师能力标准。文章进而结合联合国教科文组织关于21世纪教育发展形势的论述,提出国际化视野下我国英语教师能力标准的研制设想,呼吁广大英语教师制定个人发展计划,努力提升作为英语教育者的专业素养。 This study summarizes, evaluates and compares American, Australian, Israeli and Japanese standards for EFL teachers' ability. It then reflects on the shortcomings in China's English teacher development and assessment, and argues that to achieve the goal of English education reform, it is necessary to set the unified practical standard for English teachers' ability in China. In the light of the report on education development for the 21st century by UNESCO, the study further presents a framework for English teachers' ability under the background of internationali- zation, with the purpose of encouraging English teachers to make their own plans for professional development and im- prove their professional competence as English educators.
