On the Urban Planning and Architectural Forms of the West Han Capital Chang'an with Reference to Fu on the West Capital

班固的《西都赋》中有大量文字记录和描写了西汉长安城市和建筑,具有建筑史研究的重要的价值。文章通过对《西都赋》的研读,尝试分析西汉长安城的建筑形制、选址规划在中国城市建筑史进程中的继承性和创造性。

A text of crucial values to research inarchitectural history, Ban Gu＇s Fu on the West Capital contains many textural records and descriptions of the urban planning and architecture of the West Han capital Chang＇an. Taking the Fu on the West Capital as reference, this paper attempts to analyzes the site selection, urban planning and architectural forms of the capital Chang＇an, and its hereditary and creativityin the history of Chinese traditional architecture.
