更新城市,不抛弃“传统”

Updating City without Abandoning Tradition

在飞速发展的城市化进程中,为了获得更多的建设用地,大量的历史遗迹被拆除,传统的生活方式也随历史建筑一同被摒弃,只存留在老照片和人们的记忆之中,城市的历史文脉也随之被切断。今天,越来越多的有识之士意识到我们要发展,但更要保留历史文脉。但是,文脉的保存绝不仅仅只是简单地保留几座老建筑、几片老街区。提出,更新城市的同时,不能更新"传统",只有这样,才能真正保留历史文脉。

With the rapid developing urbanization process＋ a large number of historical relics were removed in order to obtain more land for construction. Traditional way of life had been demolished with historical buildings. The city＇s historical context had been cut off, retained nothing but memories and old photographs. Nowadays more and more people realize that we have to retain ourselves historical context together while developing our hometown. However, the context of saving is much more than retaining several old buildings or a few slices of the old quarter simply. In this article＋ the author claims that, updating city should not update the ＂traditional way of life＂ at tile same time. Only in this way could we preserve ourselves historical context truly.
