Mary Oliver, a contemporary American poet, has been writing for half a century and search- ing in the nature for the way toward inner freedom and transcendence. Her ideas of an idle life, the state of losing oneself in the nature, and the concept of life and death, agree with the Taoist wisdom of lifeand nature.
