Integrated Polymorphism: the Nature and Design in My Mind

自然对人而是多面的,同时人对自然会产生多重认识。基于主客体的复杂联系,人与自然呈现种真实的"多态"关系。当代景观设计实践背后存在着多元自然观的影响。设计师应从"知与行"的角度重新认识自然并反思自己的设计哲学,从而探索基于真实的自然功能、结构和过程的空间形式与表达,维护动态、健康的自然,创造多态而体的设计。

Nature is polymorphic, presenting us with many more faces than we could ever know. We have sought to understand it at every level that we can, creating a great diversity-in human terms-of views about the worlds and natural systems around us. These complex cross connections-between people and nature-make another polymorphism. These days landscape architecture practices have been influenced by a wide range of ecological views. Landscape architects are to understand nature from multiple points of view-the subjective, objective and everything in between. In their practices, they should be trying their best to reflect ＂real nature＂-to find modes of spatial representation in the function, structure and processes of nature. The designs this would produce-dynamic, healthy and harmonious combinations between the human and natural-would create a united polymorphism, natural design.
