In 1930s and 1940s, Zhanguo Ce clique was a famous academic group for its series of radical theories. They were also ruthlessly criticized by the academics. Its different educational backgrounds and different fundamental conception of history with the Leftists, its disregard for the inveteracy of the Confucian Doctrine of Mean, together with its blurred understanding of domestic and international political environment, are important reasons for its being criticized.
