摘要
本文通过对655名英语专业一至三年级学生的问卷调查与其中9人的访谈,探索了我国英语专业大学生学习动机的消退成因。结果表明,其动机消退成因主要包括学能、教师与教法、课外生活、教学条件、课程与教材、评价等六项因素。这些因素对他们的总体影响不是很大,但教师与教法、课程与教材、教学条件显著高于其它三项因素。教师与教法、课程与教材随着年级升高显著升高,学能随着年级升高显著下降,其它三项因素在年级间无显著差异。
Through a questionnaire survey of 655 English majors ranging from freshmen to juniors and interviews with nine of them, this paper explores their English learning demotivators. Results indicate that their major demotivators are learning aptitudes, teachers and their teaching, extracurricular activities, teaching facilities, courses and textbooks and evaluation schemes. These six demotivators on the whole do not exert very strong impacts; however, the impacts of teachers and their teaching, courses and textbooks and teaching facilities are significantly stronger than those of the other three factors. The impacts of teachers and their teaching and courses and textbooks increase significantly with the rise of their academic years while that of learning aptitudes decreases significantly accordingly. However, the impacts of the other three demotivators vary insignificantly with their academic years.
