This article describes the preliminary design of the guide pulley, production and the application in the salvage of the aft part of ChangTong, analyzes some of the irrational aspect of the practical application, demeonstrates some improvement and figure out its alternative plan, and finally utilizes ANSIS software to finish its strength calculation.
