Diagnostic value of EEG in acute viral meningitis for children

目的：探讨脑电图在儿童病毒性脑膜炎急性期中的诊断价值.方法：对我院2011年1月~2013年6月收治的87例儿童病毒性脑膜炎患儿进行脑电图检查,分析脑电图异常波形.结果：81例脑电图波形异常（93.1%）,异常病例中脑电图波形α波呈活动慢化,δ、θ波活动明显增多;棘慢波主要表现在抽搐的患儿中;昏迷患儿中见高波幅δ活动,两半球不对称.异常类型中弥漫性异常76例,局限性异常5例.结论：脑电图检查既可早期诊断儿童病毒性脑膜炎,还可以对病情的严重程度及预后进行判定.

Objective： To investigate the diagnostic value of EEG in children with acute viral meningitis. Methods：87 ca- ses of viral meningitis in children were checked with EEG from 2011 January, 2011 to June, 2013. EEG abnormal wave- form were analysed. Results：81 cases of abnormal EEG waveform （93. 1% ）, abnormal EEG waveform cases of alpha ~ave ws slow, Delta, theta activity increased obviously; spike and slow wave was mainly manifested in the convulsions in children ; with high amplitude delta activity in two children with coma, hemispheric asymmetry. Diffuse abnormality in 76 cases of abnormal types, limitations of abnormality in 5 cases. Conclusions ： EEG can early diagnose viral meningitis in children, it can also be used for judging the severity and prognosis of the disease.
