摘要
电影片名起着导视的作用,电影片名翻译的好坏直接影响到电影的宣传效果。本文借助哈蒂姆对互文指涉的界定,通过分析电影片名中的互文现象以及研究其相对应的译文,探讨互文性在电影片名翻译中的运行机制及翻译策略。文章指出,在翻译电影片名时,译者要不断增强互文性意识,采用虚化和实化的翻译策略,正确处理互文指涉的保留与转换,从而使电影片名翻译达到最佳效果。
Since the title of a film serves a guiding role, its translation necessarily determines the appeal of a film to the audience. Based on Hatim's theory of intertextuality, this paper aims to explore the operating mechanism of intertextaality in film title translation and translation strategies through analysis of intertextuality in film titles and the corresponding translation. The author holds that in the translation of film titles translators should adopt such translation strategies as abstraction and concretization with enhanced consciousness of intertextuality, and properly handle the maintenance and transference ofintertextual reference so as to achieve the best result.
