The Project for the Midwest University Foundation Ability Construction and the Sustainable Development of Western Local Universities

"中西部高校基础能力建设工程"对西部地方高校将产生三大积极影响:(1)及时而直接的经费支持,为入选高校提供了有效的物质保障;(2)特殊的教育政策倾斜,将促使入选高校成为西部高校的领跑者;(3)西部入选高校的基础能力及社会声誉由此而提升。推进该项工程应重点解决西部高等教育布局与资源配置不合理等问题。

There＇ re three positive effects to implement the Project for the Midwest Uni- versity Foundation Ability Construction. Firstly, it offers timely and direct budget support to provide the effective material guarantee for the target universities; Secondly, it makes the favoured policy to promote the universities to become the front runners; thirdly, it could en- hance their reputation. To advance the Project, it should focus on the layout of the midwest higher education and the allocation of resources.
