摘要
语义翻译与交际翻译是纽马克翻译理论的核心,这一理论为解读电影片名翻译策略提供了新的理论依据。电影片名对整部影片起着非常重要的预告作用,但其翻译过程不是简单的"搬运"过程,译者要兼顾源语言和目的语,根据实际情况采用交际翻译方法,同时保持电影的商业化性质的艺术形式。
Semantic translation and communicative translation are the cores of Newmark' s translation theory, which provides a new explanation for the strategy of the film title translation. Film title is the trailer for the whole film, but its translation is not simply ~e process of copy. The translators should aim to both the source language and the target language ,choosing the strategy of communicative translation accordingly. In addition, the translators should notice that film is quite a commercialized art form.
