语料库辅助的语类侵殖研究新视角——对Bhatia语类变异多视角模型的补充与拓展

Corpus-assisted Perspective on Genre Colonization —— Supplement and expansion of Bhatia's Multi-perspective Model on generic variation

语类研究的代表人物Bhatia认为,语类侵殖是语类研究的新课题。基于该课题的研究,他建立了语类变异的多视角模型。但笔者发现,该模型有进一步拓展的空间。本文将系统功能语言学中的语域融入到该模型之中,对其进行拓展,发展成为专门用于语类侵殖研究的历时分析框架,并以售书广告对书籍序言的语类侵殖为例,从新补充的语域(尤其是语旨)这一抓手出发,历时地研究语类侵殖在相关语类中的表征。通过对比分析英文售书广告语料库(CBA)、撰写于1900年以前的英文书籍序言语料库(CBP1)和撰写于2000年以后的英文书籍序言语料库(CBP2)等三个自建语料库发现,与CBP1相比,CBP2与CBA在语旨及人际意义的表征上具有更大的相关性和互文性。本研究证明,语域(尤其语旨)是研究语类侵殖的重要抓手,它有力地揭示出语类侵殖的机制。

Bhatia （2002, 2004） proposed a new topic in genre studies--genre colonization, and established a multi- perspective model of generic variation. However, we find that the model still needs further expansion. The present study incorporates a new systemic-functional perspective--register, into this model, and develops it into a diachronic analytical model specifically for genre colonization. Then, taking the genre colonization of book advertising over book prefaces as an example, it diachronically studies the manifestation of colonization in the genres concerned from the newly incorporated register perspective. By comparing three self-built corpora--CBA （ the corpus of English book ad- vertisements） , CBP1 （the corpus of English book prefaces written before the year 1900） , and CBP2 （the corpus of English book prefaces written after the year 2000） in terms of tenor and interpersonal meaning manifestation, a clear tendency is found： post-2000 book prefaces share a much greater degree of intertextuality with book advertising than pre-1900 book prefaces. The study proves that register （especially tenor） is an important perspective in studying genre colonization, which can well reveal mechanisms of the colonization.
