在深入分析互联网影响工资机制的前提下,实证研究互联网普及率对工资水平的影响,并比较东中西三大区域互联网对工资作用的差异。研究结果表明,无论从全国还是分区域来看,互联网普及率的提高均对工资水平表现出先正后负的影响,且中部地区的正向影响最大,西部其次,东部最小。

Under the premise of in - depth analysis of the mechanism on how internet affects wages, the paper empirically studies the impact of internet penetration rate on wage levels and compares the differences of the impact among eastern, central and western regions. The empirical research is based on the provincial panel data from 1999 to 2008. The results show that： from either the national or sub - regional perspective, the increase of internet penetration rate shows initially positive and subsequently negative impacts on the wage level. And the central region shows the largest positive influence, western the less and the eastern part of the least.
