【码头调】亦写作【马头调】,是一首在我国南北方广为流传的古老曲牌,清代已盛行,因最初流行于商业繁盛的水陆码头而得名。后以民歌形式在我国许多地方流布。内蒙古西部区流行的码头调,是由"走西口"人群带入到这一区域,系内蒙古西部区民俗活动中一个重要歌曲品种。其歌词内容广泛,丰富多彩,语言淳朴、口语化,曲调多达数十首;它既可以一人演唱、二人对唱,也适于多人齐唱,演唱时多以锣鼓伴奏,很少用丝弦,节奏性强是其重要特征。
Matou Tune is an ancient Qupai widely spread in North and South in China. Matou Tune flourished in the Qing Dynasty, deriving its name from originally prevalent at busy ferry terminals. Later, Matou Tune was popular in many places in the form of folk song. Matou Tune which is popular in Western Inner Mongolia was introduced into the region by the people who "Went West" and also is an important song style in folk activities in the western area of Inner Mongolia. The Lyrics are extensive, colorful, simple, and colloquial. Its tune is up to dozens. Matou Tune can be sung by one person, antiphonally by two persons and by many people simultaneously. When sung, Matou tune is more accompanied by gongs and drums and less by stringed instruments. Strong rhythm is its important feature.
