In his new novel Never Let Me Go, Kazuo Ishiguro narrates a sad story of a group of the clones who are created by men for or- gan transplantation. This paper aims to explore in three aspects a hotly debated question: "Why they didnl run?". From Michel Foucault~ theory of the prison, the clones" isolated growth in the institutions and the means of correct training are firstly discussed to explain their docile bodies and submissive manners. Then the paper reveals that treated as the Other, they cant find a place called home; for them, there is nowhere to run.
