摘要
本文通过多层线性模型,运用微观调查数据,从家庭和村级特征两个层面分析了农村学生上高中的影响因素。本文发现,在家庭层面,短期信贷约束不再是制约农村学生上高中的重要因素;在村级层面,村教育资源的供给和经济发展水平对学生上高中的影响逐渐增强。这说明学校布局调整政策和农村内部收入差距的扩大对学生受教育程度造成了不利影响。文章还发现公共教育经费对农村学生的高中参与率有着重要的影响,而且预算内经费和预算外经费在2002年和2007年的影响差别很大。
With the expansion ol higher education and the augmentation of public spending,the gap between urban and rural high school attendance has increased.This article analyzes the determinants of rural pupils' high school attendance from the household and village levels by a hierarchical binary response model.At the family level we found the impact of family income to pupils' educational achievement was no longer significant in 2007,which suggests budget constraints were not as important of a factor to prevent rural children's high school attendance.At the village level,the effect of available educational resources and the villages' socioeconomic condition were strengthened by implementing the school rearrangement policy and the augmented internal rural income gap had a negative impact on children's high school attendance. Furthermore,the explanation power of public spending remained quite large,but the effect of government and non-government expenditures were noticeably different between 2002 and 2007.
