《江南录》:先天不足的“千古信书”

“The Eternally Authentic Historical Record”Which is Congenitally Deficient:A Discussion on Jiang Nan Record(江南录)

在五代十国中,南唐得到宋人的格外重视,因而产生了十国中唯一的宋朝官修史书《江南录》,并被修撰者徐铉自诩为"千古信书"。然而,特殊的政治环境与作者的个人因素,令这部史著先天不足,招致上至宋廷统治者,下至宋人尤其是南唐遗民的普遍不满,最终导致了这部官修史书的湮没无闻。

The Song Dynasty paid so much attention to the Southern Tang Dynasty among Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, which resulted in the ogicially compiled history titled Jiangnan Records （江南录）, the unique case in Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. The author Xuxuan （徐铉） called this book the eternally authentic historical record. However, Jiangnan Records has some inherent deficiency due to special political environment and the personal factors of the author. Both the ruler and the common people of Song Dynasty, and especially the adherents of Southern Tang Dynasty were unsatisfied with this book which eventually fell into oblivion.
