This paper presents the development and application of large magnet flip information board display system used for freeway, together with its characteristics, structure and operation principles. Comparisons are made of the several available display systems including advantages, disadvanteges and their selection based on application requirements. Technical requirements of the display system, ambient working conditions, system composition and work principles, communication mode and software structure of microcomputer control are discussed.
