摘要
研究试图比较中国外语学习者的超文本阅读和传统文本阅读以及在此过程中超链接的作用。旨在探讨以下三方面的问题:第一,超文本阅读和传统文本阅读之间阅读成绩的差异;第二,点击次数的多少对超文本阅读成绩的影响;第三,比较生词解释和文化背景知识对学生阅读理解成绩提高的作用大小。运用统计软件SPSS11.5对测试数据进行分析,实验结果表明:超文本阅读的成绩高于传统文本阅读的成绩。不同点击组的学习成绩之间也有明显差异。与生词解释相比,文化背景知识对提高学生阅读理解成绩的帮助作用更大。此研究结果对超链接在超文本英语阅读教学中的应用有重要的启示作用。
This study explores the comparison of hypertext English reading and traditional text reading among Chinese EFL learners and the effect of hyperlinks. It is specifically designed to address the following three questions: The first one is to compare the scores of hypertext English reading and traditional text reading; the second one deals with the effect of different numbers of links in hypertext; the third one is to compare the effect of difficult words or phrases and cultural background knowledge. The test data was analyzed by SPSS11. 5 package. The results of the experiment were: firstly, Hyperlinks facilitate Chinese students' English reading comprehension compared with traditional text reading. Secondly, there was a significant difference among the scores of different link numbers. Thirdly, cultural background knowledge plays a more important role in hypertext English reading than difficult words or phrases. The results of the present study give much enlightenment to the application of hyperlinks in English hypertext reading under EFL context.
