There was unbalanced supply and demand in the 2013 domestic methionine market; domestic production was still in short supply. Methionine still needed to be imported. Additionally, with the turmoil in poultry industry, the market price of methionine was seriously affected. This paper briefly reviewed the methionine price trend in 2013.
