Entrepreneurial orientation is an important factor that helps im- prove enterprise performance, and there are lots of existing researches on the rela- tionship between the two from multiple perspectives. Based on the developing en- trepreneurial orientation theory, this paper explores the intermediate effect of inter- national market power (IMP) between international entrepreneurial orientation (IEO) and international performance (IP), and reveals the interaction relationship between them. The study finds that: (1) IEO serves as the competence conditions of internationalizing enterprises, which exercises positive effect on IP through in- ternational market innovativeness, proactiveness and risk-takings; (2) lEO has a significant positive effect on enterprise IMP which in turn has a significant im- pact on IP; (3) IMP plays an mediation role between lEO and IP; (4) The inter- mediate effect of large enterprises is stronger than small and medium-sized ones. All in all, this paper not only extends the construction and application of the en- trepreneurial orientation theory under the open condition, but also provides useful implications to help improve IMP and IP of internationalizing enterprises.
