From College Students to Ecological Citizens:A New Height of Talents Training in Institutions of Higher Learning

在生态危机日益严峻的背景下高校开展生态公民养成教育有其必要性。而大学生的特征决定了高校开展生态公民养成教育具有重要的价值:大学生正处于价值观、人生观、世界观的形成时期,可塑性强;我国高等教育由精英教育向大众教育转变,大学生规模庞大;大学生是经济和社会建设的后备军,未来生态企业、生态政府、NGO所需人才将由现在的大学生来充实。高校生态公民的培养以其规模化、科学化、系统化的特征无可替代。

In the increasingly serious ecological crisis, it becomes very urgent to implement formative education of ecological citizen in institutions of higher learning. The characteristics of college students define the important value in implementation of formative education of ecological citizen. College students have strong plasticity for they are in the formative period of value, outlook on life, and outlook on the world. College students are reserve force of the economical and social construction, and the talents that future ecological enterprises, ecological government and NGO need will be replaced by the current college students, so the training of ecological talents in institutions of higher learning is irreplaceable with its scale, science and system.
