《雷雨》是中国现代最杰出的戏剧家曹禺的代表作,它的主题意蕴深刻,人物形象鲜明生动,是我国现代戏剧史上成就最高的剧作之一。它通过一家两代人的恩恩怨怨,集中表现了在浓厚的封建性的资产阶级家庭里的人的悲剧和由此折射出的社会悲剧,它控诉了带有封建本性的资产阶级家庭的罪恶,表现了对理想的人性和人的生存状态的困惑和向往。曹禺以极端的雷雨般狂飙恣肆的方式,发泄被压抑的愤懑,控诉中国的专制家庭和社会的黑暗。将所有人的"雷雨性格"表现得淋漓尽致。剧中的惊雷仍在我们耳畔轰鸣,剧中的暴雨仍在我们心底激荡。

Thunderstorm is the masterpiece of the most outstanding modem Chinese dramatist Cao Yu, whose theme is profound and characters are vivid and which is one of the most classic plays in out country＇s modem play history. It tells the grudge between two generations, reflecting the human tragedy in a feudal bourgeois family and social tragedy, complains the sin of feudal bourgeois family, and expresses the confusion and desire of ideal human nature and living state. Cao Yu adopts the extreme thunderstorm - like method to express his resentment and accuses the darkness of the autocratic family and society in China, fully depicting the thunderstorm charac- ter. The thunder in the play still rings in our ears and the storm still roars in our heart.
