On the Teaching of College English Listening and Speaking under Formative Evaluation: Exemplified by the Reform of Listening and Speaking Teaching in Northwest University of Politics and Law

培养学生的听、说技能,是英语教学的中心目标。西北政法大学制定了科学的,可操作性强的多元化听、说考核制度,彻底改变了学生听、说课上消极的上课方式,使学生成为学习的主体,几乎所有学生都能积极参与课堂教学,这是考核制度带来的最可贵的改变。

The cultivation of students＆#39; listening and speaking skills is the central goal of English teaching. A scientific and op-erable pluralistic listening and speaking assessment system was drawn up in Northwest University of Politics and Law, which has revolutionized students＆#39; negative attitude towards listening and speaking classes, and made students the subject. Almost all stu-dents can actively participate in classroom teaching, which is the most valuable change brought by the assessment system.
