通识教育理念下的大学英语教学改革

College English Teaching Reform from the General Education Concept

通识教育在我国大学教育中越来越受到重视,大学英语无疑是通识教育的一个重要组成部分,大学英语课程理应担当起贯彻通识教育内容的重任。然而,现阶段我国大学英语教学中仍存在很多问题,例如,教学理念落后;教材内容陈旧;教师综合素质不高。因此,大学英语教学改革势在必行。本文从三方面提出了对大学英语教学改革的措施:首先要在通识教育的理念下进行;同时要注重教材的选材要与时俱进;最后,教师的素质决定了教学的效果,因此提高大学英语教师的综合素质是实施通识教育的必要环节。

Great attention has been paid to general education in college these days.And undoubtedly college English is an important part of general education.So college English course should shoulder the burden of carrying out the general education content.However,there are still some problems in the college English teaching in our country nowadays.For example,teaching concept is behind the times;teaching materials are old;and teachers quality is not quite good.As a result,firstly,college English teaching reform should be made in the concept of general education;secondly,the choosing of materials should keep pace with the times;lastly,improving the college English teachers＇ comprehensive quality is also very important.
