Objective To study the efficacy and safety of Ginkgo Biloba extract (skinner) for the treatment of transient ischemic attack. Methods 66 patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 32 cases in observation group were treated with skinner treatment, while 34 cases in control group were treated with low molecular dextran treatment, observed the therapeutic effect, adverse reactions and the change of blood rheology of the two groups. Results 10 days after treatment, the total effective rate of control group was 65.63%, while the observation group was 94.12%, there were significant differences between the two groups(P < 0.05). The blood rheological index of control group changed than before treatment, but without significant difference(P>0.05), while the treatment group changed obviously, with significant differences (P<0.05), and there were significant differences between the two groups(P < 0.05). Conclusion Ginkgo Biloba extract can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of transient ischemic attack, reduce blood viscosity, and has less adverse reactions, so it's worthy of clinical popularization and application.
