对外贸易体制改革是我国整个经济体制改革的重要的有机组成部分。经过10多年来的摸索,我国在对外贸易体制改革方面,不论实践上,还是理论认识上都有了长足的进展和深化。当前,我国正处在新的一轮五年计划和十年规划的起点上,如何选择对外贸易体制、如何确立对外贸易的指导思想和战略重点,无疑是至关重要的。为此,本刊本着百家争鸣的方针特编发了一组意见不尽一致,甚至对立的文章,以推动对有关问题的讨论,并飨读者。

Editorial notes: The reform of the foreign trade system is an important organic component in the reforms of China's entire economic system. The past ten more years have witnessed notable progress and the deepening of the endeavour in the reform of China's foregn trade system in both practical and theoretical terms. With China now standing on the starting point of a new round of Five Year Plan and ten-year programme of development, choosing the right foreign trade system and correctly defining the guiding principles and strategy is undoubtedly of paramount importance. In line with the principle of 'a hundred schools of thought contend', we therefore edit and issue a couple of articles of different views for readers' perusal in the hope that the debate about the questions concerned can be further promoted.
