Weilat Code, a mirror which reflected in an all-round way the Mongolian society of the 17th century, constitutes the first hand materials revealing the Mongolian social conditions of the 17th century. On the basis of this code the author of this paper makes a systematic analysis of the Mongolian marriage and family system and the Mongolian marriage law, and then summarizes the chief characteristics of the Mongolian marriage and family system and of the Mongolia marriage law of the 17th century.
