摘要
从大清王朝鼎盛时期的三山五园,再到清末战火洗礼下的废园;从燕京大学的苦心营建,再到北大迁入后的现代、多元化的改造,燕园的一山一水,一楼一阁都凝结着设计者的创作理念,更承载着时间流转的文化沉淀。燕园的设计者亨利墨菲将中国传统建筑成组布局的原则,传统园林的意境与西方建筑规划理念融合在一起,进行了一场"改良式的中圜建筑复兴":从中轴线的设计,到庭院式的建筑布局,到古典园林式的校园构造,既结合了冈峦起伏、流水蒙回的皇家园林特征,又结合了现代大学的使用要求,使之成为大学校园建设史上的里程碑以及"中国最美丽的校园"。
From the heyday of three mountains and Jive gardens in the Qing Dynasty to the gardens ruined by warfare in the late Qing Dynasty,painstaking construction dating hack to Yenching University and the modern,diversified transformation after moving to Peking University,all these have condensed the creative ideas of the designers which carried the cultural tradition and can he seen from every mountain,lake,tower and pavilion.Henry Murphy,the designer of the Yan Garden,realized the integration of principles of traditional Chinese architectural layout,traditional garden style and western architectural planning concepts and carried out a 'modified Chinese architectural renaissance' which can be reflected from the axis design to the courtyard building layout and the classical garden-like campus construction.The design of the Yan Garden combines both the royal garden features with the uninterrupted stretch of hills and lingering streams but also the function and requirements of modern universities,making it a milestone in the history of the university campus building and 'the most beautiful campus in China.'
