Applying polling or interrupt control technique, to observe the counting waves of 8253 programmable interval timer. The experiment results showed that counting frequency of 8253 PIT may many times higher than 2 5 MHz and odd counting value must be large or equal 5 valid in counting mode 3. The experiment results provide reliable experiment data to increase utilizable of 8253 PIT.
