摘要
介绍了一种适用于浅海信道水声数字通信系统的性能分析模型 ,它包括水声信道传播特性如传播损失、多途结构、信道传输函数等的分析和水声通信系统性能如通信距离预报、系统信噪比和误码率等的估计。
Communication distance and probability of error are two main items of performance analysis. From Fig.2 for a special numerical example, we can obtain communication distance, which requires FOM (Figure of Merit) and propagation loss to be known. We calculated FOM in Fig.2 by using passive sonar equation and calculated propagation loss in Fig.2 by Kraken normal model, which was proposed by us in Ref [1]. For probability of error of system in fading channel, we derived eqs. (9), (10), and (11) for incoherent frequency shift keyed (FSK), coherent FSK, and phase shift keyed (PSK) respectively. Fig.3, which is another specific numerical example, shows curves calculated with eqs. (9), (10) and (11). These results will be helpful for design of underwater acoustic digital communication system in a shallow water channel.
