Modern Education and Educational Tradition

教育观念、教育技术和教育制度,不仅可以作为分析教育传统的维度,也可以作为影响教育传统的因素,认识这些因素对于理解教育传统具有重要价值。教育传统是那些已经被历史检验和反复证明、属于教育中常态的事物。现代教育改革不应轻易否定教育传统,而要坚守教育传统,并在继承教育传统的基础上进行适度改革,适应时代不断变化对教育和人的发展提出的新要求。研究现代教育与教育传统的关系具有重要意义。它可以使我们认清现代教育的基础和发展趋势,认识现代教育思想的特点、经验及不足。

Education idea, education technology and education system, not only can be used as the dimensions of analyzing the traditional education, but also can be used as the factors influencing traditional education. Understanding these factors has important value for the understanding of traditional education. This paper argues that, educational tradition are the ones which have already passed the history inspection and been repeatedly proved, belonging to the normal things in education. Modern education reform should not easily deny educational tradition, but sticking to educational tradition, and doing proper fine-tuning on the basis of inheriting educational tradition to adapt to the new requirements asked by the changing of time. It is of great significance to study the relationship between modern education and educational tradition. The study can make us understand modern education thoroughly, such as, the foundation of modern education, its development trend, the characteristics of its thoughts, its experience and deficiencies as well.
