Production Planning and Inventory Control in Virtual Organization for Small Medium-Sized Enterprises

Virtual organization (VO) is one of paradigms of Agile Manufacturing. From the viewpoint of production management, the suitability of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in VO grouped locally by a number of small and medium--sized enterprises (SME) is discussed in the environment of Chinese SME. According to a case study, the principle of MRP in VO is also indicated.
