新疆生态环境问题及保护治理

PROBLEMS, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT IN XINJIANG

近半个世纪以来，在人类活动影响下，新疆生态环境发生的不利变化为：河流缩短，湖泊萎缩或干涸，水质盐化，天然植被衰败，野生动物减少，土地沙漠化和盐渍化不断扩大。在西部大开发中，若不加强对生态环境的保护和治理，将难以实现可持续发展。

Under the impact of human activities since recent 5 decades, the ecological environment in Xinjiang Changes as: shortening of the river, shrinkage or dried-up of the lakes, salinization of water quality, degeneration of the natural vegetation, reduction of the wild animals, and continuous enlargement of the area of the desertified and the salinized lands. It is difficult to achieve a sustainable development if the protection and improvement of the ecological environment in Xinjiang are not strengthened during the major development of the West Regions of China.
