On the basis of the researches on crustal deformation precursors for years, the complexity of the precursors are discussed, and some of their generality are found through the summarization of typical crustal deformation and strain precursors. For describing the common character, the calculating model of index K of anomaly is given. By means of comprehensive analysis of the K index, background data and the practical experience, it is possible that prediction for some strong earthquakes with magnitude more than 6 can be made in short term or even in imminent stage.
