“Harmony” Being the Best Way Out,“Harmony” Being What Matters——The Best Choice of the Sino-Japanese Relation at Present and in the Future

2012年9月10日,以日本政府购买我国固有领土钓鱼岛并企图将其"国有化"为导火线,中日钓鱼岛争端迅速激化。这一急转直下的形势,促使人们思考这样一个问题:中日关系向何处去?从当前看,中日关系是战是和?从长远看,中日关系是分是合?文章认为,中日关系的根本改善需要一个漫长的过程。从中日关系全局出发,双方都会力避因钓鱼岛争端激化到"破局"的程度。这是当今和平与发展时代的呼唤,也是中日两国共同利益的诉求。中日两国战则两伤,和则两利;分则两损,合则两赢。"和"为上,"合"为贵,是现在及未来中日关系的最佳选择。

The Sino-Japanese dispute over Diao Yu Islands was quickly intensifying because of the inci-dent that Japanese Government bought our country ’ s instrinsic territory , Diao Yu Islands , and attempted to nationalize them on September 10, 2012.This situation which took a sudden turn and became worse rapidly makes one think of such a question： where is the Sino-Japanese relation going , war or peaceful？ In the long run, will the Sino-Japanese relation be split or cooperative？I think personally , the fundamental improvement of the Sino-Japanese relation needs a long process .From the view of overall scope of the Sino-Japanese rela-tion, both sides would try their best to avoid the “fracture” of their relation because of the dispute over Diao Yu Islands .This is the call of peaceful and developing age today , also the appeal of common interests of China and Japan .China and Japan would be both injured if a war breaks out between them , would be both profitable if they are in harmony , would be both damaged if they are split , would be win-win if they are cooperative . That“harmony” is the best way out and “harmony” is what matters is the best choice of the Sino-Japanese at present and in the future .
