界定文化的工作就必须进行严格的哲学批判反思吗?答案完全是肯定的。因为无论是提出崭新的文化定义的研究者,还是沿用已有的文化定义进行学术研究的研究者,都有可能因为带有特定的学科背景、基于特定的学术素养、囿于特定的学术视角和眼界、甚至因为出于特定的主观癖好,而在对文化进行界定的过程中表现出难以抹煞的独断论倾向和色彩,而恰恰是这样的倾向和色彩会给研究者对文化的界定带来各种各样的不良影响,使之最终难以得出真正既具有鲜明的现实针对性、又具有必要的理论解释力的研究结论。在对文化进行界定的过程中,研究者只有自始至终地既针对被界定对象、同时也针对作为界定者的自己,都实实在在地坚持严格的哲学批判反思态度,才有可能真正地逐步破除这样的独断论倾向和色彩,逐步形成和保持既严谨、又开放的学术研究心态,使自己的探讨和研究避免事与愿违的结果。

Must the rigorous philosophically critical reflection be made to define the culture？The answer is totally affirmative .This is because whether the researcher puts up an original cultural definition or follows the existing one , he, for his special intellectual background , academic attainment , particular perspective , and even his unique subjective habit , may manifest always some dogmatic tendency which is difficult to obliterate . And it is precisely this kind of dogmatic tendency that affects his culture defining adversely and makes it diffi-cult for him to get finally the conclusion endowed with both distinct practical relevance and essential theoretical explanation strengths .So in the defining of culture , the researcher should get rid of this tendency gradually by doing some rigorous philosophically critical reflection upon both the definiendum and himself as the definer , forming gradually and maintaining a mentality that is both rigorous and open , and so avoid the counterproduc-tive result.
